How the shift works

There are four phases to switching your property management to Summit. The timeline varies depending on your current agreement, but we'll guide you through every step.

  1. Get in touch with our team

Contact us to have a conversation about your property and your current situation. We'll walk you through the process, answer your questions, and help you find the right property manager for your needs.

Once you're ready to proceed, we'll arrange an authority to act on your behalf -so you don't have to manage the switchover yourself.

  1. Review your current management agreement

We'll help you work through the details of your existing agreement, including:

Please note: Summit requires a minimum 12-month management term. The 3 months free fees offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotion or discount.

  1. We contact your current agency on your behalf

If you have an existing property manager, we'll handle the conversation for you - meaning you don't have to. We'll arrange a professional handover, ensuring nothing falls through the cracks during the transition.

  1. Uplift and onboarding

Once the handover is confirmed, we take care of the full uplift process:

Finding Tenants

To reduce the amount of time your property is vacant between tenancies, we showcase all our properties prior to tenants vacating. This helps generate a larger pool of tenants to select from.

All tenants inspecting your property will be accompanied by a Summit Property Management property manager.

To secure a tenant we carry out a number of checks on each tenant including:

  • a credit check
  • reference check of past rental history
  • check for prior tenancy tribunal history.

We will then ensure they pay the rent and take care of your property.

Once let, the property will be managed day-to-day by your Summit Property Management property manager.

They will take care of all:

  • maintenance work
  • rent reviews
  • tenant management
  • inspections
  • any other issues relating to your property.

The property manager will communicate with you regularly and be your main point of contact.
