This 21ha forestry right offers the successful purchaser an entry-level forest investment with some immediate harvesting options. The 8.0ha of older pines (established 1988/1991) are ready for harvest and have earthworks/logging consents in place. The balance is 2nd rotation pines planted in 2015 (approx. 12.2ha) and is ready for thinning or pruning.
The forest is situated in the Rai Valley, known for its high growth rates and high-density logs, and is ideally situated between Nelson and Blenheim to give multiple options for export ports and domestic processing. An existing logging road runs through the forest to provide access to Ronga Road.
The forest owner receives 100% of harvest proceeds. This forestry right is for the existing crop and expires in 2064. No annual land rental is payable so holding costs will be low.
